| 1. Students are expected to abide by all driving
and traffic regulations established under the vehicle code of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Students who violate this code will
immediately lose their parking privileges for the remainder of the
school year. |
| 2. Students are to apply for driving permits
during the time designated by the building administrators. (Applications
are in the main office.) Parents must sign the application and,
this in turn, must be approved by the building administrator. Once
approved, a student registration sticker will be issued and displayed on
the back of the rear-view mirror each and every school day. |
| 3. Students may ride with a pupil who has obtained
a driving permit only if parents of both pupils have signed a permission
form indicating their approval. |
| 4. Students may park cars on the east side of
the high school, in designated parking spaces. Any parking
violation may result in contacting the parent and removal of parking privileges. |
| 5. Student drivers are not to interfere with the
safe movement of buses entering or leaving school grounds. Student
drivers will allow the bus traffic to pass before entering the flow of
traffic. |
| 6. Students are not permitted in the parking lot
or in their cars during school hours without authorization from building
administrators. |
| 7. Students are not permitted to loiter in cars
or in the parking lot before school. Students should lock their
cars and come directly into the school. Students who drive and
have three unexcused lates, three unexcused absences or three discipline
violations will have their parking privileges revoked. |
| 8. The Dallas School District policy on weapons,
smoking, drugs and alcohol applies to student transportation.
Students will not possess, use, furnish, or sell controlled substances
from vehicles on school grounds. Violations will be dealt with
according to Dallas School District policy. |
